Pablo Armesto

Biography

Pablo Armesto resides and works between Asturias and Madrid. His work is situated within an experimental space where sculpture and painting coexist with the intangible nature of light and shadow, alongside technology and science. The luminescence of his pieces is achieved through LED systems, neon lights, cathodes, and optical fiber, combined with wood and lacquered metals.

He has collaborated with various galleries, including Galería Marlborough, for over a decade, and has participated in international fairs such as MACO, Dallas Art Fair, CONTEXT Miami, Art Genève, ARCO, ARCOLisboa, Masterpiece London, ARTLima, ESTAMPA, and ARTMadrid, among others, as well as numerous solo and group exhibitions. Some of his works lie within the realm of new multimedia technologies and installation art, many of which have received awards and grants. He has also taken part in numerous public art projects. His work can be found in public and private collections worldwide.


Pablo Armesto is an experimental contemporary sculptor who captures decisive moments through his light works. He embarked on his artistic journey in 1998, in the field of painting. An artist with intellectual and formal curiosity, in 1999 he began creating public works, and shortly thereafter, he ventured into the realm of installation art.
